Legal information & disclaimer
Last updated: May 2026
This page provides general information about using this service. It is not legal advice. If you need advice for your organisation (including GDPR compliance), consult a qualified lawyer. To the extent permitted by law, you use the service at your sole risk; nothing here limits non-waivable statutory rights where they apply.
No warranty & total disclaimer of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, availability, security, or non-infringement. We disclaim responsibility for any loss, damage, harm, cost, or claim of any kind (including data loss, business interruption, reputational harm, regulatory fines, or lost profits) arising from or related to use of, reliance on, or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility. If you do not accept this, do not use the service.
Your responsibility for secrets
You are solely responsible for the content you share, for protecting generated links and tokens, and for who you send them to. If you lose a link, forget a token, mis-send an email, or leak a URL, we are not liable for resulting disclosure or loss.
One-time and destructive behaviour
Secrets may be deleted, encrypted material may be wiped, and links may stop working after limits, expiry, burn-after-read, or cleanup jobs. Do not rely on this service as long-term storage.
Personal data & GDPR (high level)
Depending on how you configure notifications, emails, and access logs, personal data (such as IP addresses, email addresses, or metadata) may be processed. You should identify your roles (controller/processor), define a lawful basis, inform recipients where required, honour data subject rights, define retention, and sign appropriate agreements if you process data on behalf of others.
Logs and security
Access attempts may be logged for security and abuse prevention. Use rate limits, strong encryption keys, HTTPS, and secure operational practices. Compromise of server secrets could affect confidentiality.
Third parties
If you integrate email providers, hosting providers, or other processors, you are responsible for your agreements with them and for appropriate safeguards (including international transfers where applicable).
Contact
For operational or security questions related to this deployment, contact the organisation operating this instance.
Limitation of aggregate liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid for the service in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) zero if the service is provided free of charge. Some jurisdictions do not allow such limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
Exclusion of indirect and consequential damages
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or savings, or for cost of substitute services, whether or not foreseeable.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the operators of this instance, their developers and contractors (including streamcode.gr where applicable), and their affiliates, from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, your violation of these terms or applicable law, or your infringement of third-party rights.
Governing law, severability, and acceptance
If any provision of this disclaimer is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Governing law and venue depend on the legal entity operating this deployment; obtain written confirmation from them if required. By accessing or using the service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer and agree to be bound by it.
